How to play

Your goal is to place the numbers 1 through 9 in each of the 9 rows and 9 columns, or 3x3 houses. A row or column may only contain one instance of each number. The same number cannot appear twice in the same column or row.
When you make a mistake, Block Duplicates will change the square from white to red. To win, you must enter the right number in each grid tile. Microsoft Sudoku includes two playing styles: pencil and pen. Don't forget to switch between numbers and notations using the "Notes" button. If you run into trouble, click "Hint." Instruction
